Monty’s feeling refreshed.
We took ownership of Monty late this spring. We fell in love with his shiny green paint and comfy Porsche seats in matching colours! He was perfect for us.
Monty was in good shape but needed just a few additions. We have installed a new engine as unfortunately his had the dreaded flywheel wobble; but now he is running effortlessly again.
Safety is important to us at Freebird Campers when you hire one of our classic VW campervans.
We have also installed an amazing Vanwurks kitchen unit. The unit houses the fridge, sink, hob and gas safe locker. The gas safe locker is part of new legislation. This is designed to keep you safe in the event of a gas leak. We have it tested by a qualified gas safe engineer and certified on an annual basis. The locker has vents through the floor therefore allowing the gas to drop outside the van should there be a leak. Gas being heavier than air. The unit also has some storage space for your essential’s.
We fit smoke and carbon monoxide alarms as standard to all our vans and test these on a regular basis.
