Should you decide to catch the train and then a bus to Freebird Campers when you hire one of our retro VW campervans, There is a great bus link from outside Axminster Station which is on the main line from London to the South West.

The AVMT Buses pick up  right out side the station the service you need is the 885. There are 2 stops in Colyford – the best one is  ‘Colyford Chipperfield Antiques (SW-bound)’ (No longer Chipperfield Antiques) which is right outside  the Old Filling Station Café and cycle shop. If you miss this stop there is another just 300m or so further up the road in Colyford.

If you arrive early before the normal 3pm pick up time,  the café in the Filling Station serves an amazing selection of cakes and sandwiches. A great choice of speciality teas and the coffee is always hot and fresh. They are also dog friendly. Housed in the same building is a bike shop with a large selection of merchandise.
