Our Guide to Cornish adventures!

We all love adventures. All of us, even the young at heart grownups, love the thrill of exploring.
If you’re looking for adventure then exploring Cornwall in a Freebird Campervan is a wonderful way to start your holiday.

Imagine…you’re sitting in the driving seat, with a cuppa in your hand, Google maps open on your phone. As you’re deciding where you’ll go today the seagulls are calling, the fishing boats are heading out to sea. Glorious views over the dramatic Cornish coast are stretched out in front of you just waiting to be explored.

As soon as you hit the A30 down to Cornwall your adventure starts. Whether you’re into walking, surfing, relaxing on the beach or discovering amazing places, Cornwall offers a fantastic wealth of things to do.

Attractions.

With so many attractions you’ve got plenty of choice. Some of our favourites are:
The Eden Project  near St Austell is always a huge hit with families. This stunning visitor destination, cultural venue and global garden highlights our dependence on plants and demonstrates technological ingenuity and the regeneration of landscapes.

We love the amazing Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey. Another fantastic experience set in 80 acres, up until thirty years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen.  Now there are Magical walled gardens, woodland walks and farmland to explore. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led to the restoration of this once great estate.

St Nectan’s Glen & Waterfalls is one of Freebird’s personal favourites. A shady woodland walk beside the river up to St Nectan’s Glen & Waterfalls. This is home to several waterfalls that make a stunning photo opportunity. St Nectan’s Glen is a truly natural meditation place where you would be able to walk in the wild with the sound of birds and water.

A day at the beach in Cornwall is a must and whichever Cornish beach you choose you’re guaranteed  an amazing experience. Park up at Bude or Portreath, or Marazion, with its amazing view to St Michael’s Mount. Or explore East Looe beach – a long-time favourite with holidaymakers as it is perfect for swimming and sandcastle building! There are many beaches filed with rockpools where you can take the children crabbing, a wonderful activity for all ages – all you need is a bucket, a crab line, a net, bait, and some patience.

Easy driving

We love exploring Cornwall! You can find adventures around every corner. You’ll discover wild moorlands, views over jagged cliffs, tranquil rivers, and stunning seascapes in Cornwall. One of the great things you won’t be worrying about when you’re driving along the road in your Freebird Campervan is whether you can squeeze down the narrow Cornish country lanes! Because our vans offer a different driving experience compared to modern caravans and motor homes they are small enough to allow you the freedom to explore the most incredible locations.

Don’t forget you can bring your four legged friend to explore with you – we are dog friendly.
