Meet Bob
If you’re hiring a Classic VW Campervan like Bob, our four berth T2 camper with his bright funky orange paint work and eye-catching roof, you’ll be enjoying a piece of real nostalgia.
Bob has recently been completely refitted, with the refit including a beautiful kitchen unit, easy clean funky flooring, rock and roll bed and new elevating roof with a bed.
Bob is a great family holiday campervan. You’ll be getting plenty of adult space to sleep with the full width ‘rock and roll’ double bed and a good size double bed in the elevating roof.
And, as Bob’s not much bigger than a family car you’ll be able to easily to explore the smaller roads in and around the West Country. You’ll get plenty of friendly waves in Bob!
Interior
We’ve been working to make the interior of Bob really lovely for you. Bob now comes with a new kitchen unit which houses a really good size fridge with freezer compartment. The unit also comes with a 2-ring gas burner hob and a sink which is fed by a pump from a 10-litre water container. We’ve also added a cutlery draw and a storage cupboard which is great for the keeping all those essentials inside. In addition, we have fitted Bob with a tall cupboard unit behind the passenger seat, this is great for extra storage and also has the added advantage of giving you a dropdown buddy seat.
Sleeping
The full width Rock & Roll bed, is so easy to change from a bench seat into a bed in just a couple of seconds. With a width of 1.45m and total length of L 1.83m therefore making it the same size a standard double! Bob is also fitted with a small double bed in the elevating roof which is ideal for children or small adults.
Keeping you safe
All our VW Campervans are fitted with gas safety lockers, with drop vents to outside. Keeping you safe is a priority so we ensure that gas installations are annually tested in accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. In addition, we fit each campervan with a smoke detector, carbon monoxide alarm and fire extinguisher. Bob is fitted with 3 x Rear Seat belts, 2 x 3 point and one lap belt in the centre.
Bob Electric’s
A modern power management system is fitted. This provides charge to both the vehicle and leisure batteries when connected to electric hook up on site or via a split charge when driving. We have provided LED lighting throughout, to include discrete LED mood lighting. The electrical system is tested certified annually with all power leads and appliances being PAT tested.
Peace of mind
We enjoy maintaining our VW campervans and we take every care to keep them to a high standard. In the unlikely event that you experience a break down, we provide RAC breakdown cover and recovery service. Each campervan also carries a spares pack, which the breakdown service can use, giving you the best chance that the camper can be fixed and you can continue with your journey.
Bob’s size
Some campsites need to know the size of the campervan before they allow you to book, so that they allocate you with a suitable pitch. Bob is approximately 4.5m in length and 1.75 wide.
