Explore the Past
Drive over, park up and explore

  • At Seaton, ride Seaton Tramway to the Historic Rebel town of Colyton– and back, it travels along the stunning tidal estuary and thorugh the country side,
  • Visit Branscombe Old Mill, Bakery and Old Forge nationaltrust.org.uk/branscombe, steeped in fascinating village history and tradition,
  • Just over the border in Somerset you’ll find the lovely Forde Abbey fordeabbey.co.uk,
  • Or head off to Exeter and discover Exeter Cathedral & Exeter Underground Passages heartofdevon.com/exeter/things-to-do.

Wet & Wild Days Out

  • Sea kayak amongst breakers from Seaton beach, or try Paddle boarding from Seaton beachfront,
  • Drive to Beer Village, and get onboard a mackerel ‑fishing boat, or try deep sea angling with local fishermen,
  • Head over to Exmouth and Kite surf on the finest flat water and waves – even if you don’t kite surf yourself watching the kite-surfers who gather daily on this stretch of water is inspiring,
  • Cruise the Coast from Exmouth with Stuart Line Cruises.

 Explore Nature

  • Pick up the South West Coast Path National Trail one of the best walks in the world – at Seaton. From there you can walk to the fishing village of Beer, or hike out towards Branscombe – both easily walkable in the day.
  • East Devon Way, walk through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty- impressive at any time of year.
