There’s something magical about hitting the open road in a classic VW camper van. Monty is a late T2 Bay four berth classic VW campervan for hire, with a full Devon Moonraker roof. With his stunning green and white coachwork and the colour coded Porsche front seats and interior, he is a very special VW Campervan.
Monty’s Interior
Monty has been refitted with a great kitchen unit which houses a good size fridge with freezer compartment. The unit also comes with a 2-ring gas burner hob and a sink which is fed by a pump from a 10-litre cold water container. Additionally, a cutlery draw and a storage cupboard is great for keeping all those essentials inside. The front passenger seat rotates, so we include a funky storage crate that can be moved when the front seat is being used. Giving you added benefit of doubling as extra seating, it can also be lifted out of the campervan if required. Additional storage is available under the rock and roll bed and in the over bed locker.
Sleeping
The full width Rock and Roll bed is so easy to change from a bench seat into a bed in just a couple of seconds. The bed has a width of 1.45m and total length of 1.83m therefore making it the same size a standard double! Monty is also fitted with a small double bed in the elevating roof which is ideal for children or small adults.
Keeping you safe
All the VW Campervans are fitted with gas safety lockers, with drop vents to outside. In addition, he is fitted with a smoke detector, carbon monoxide alarm and fire extinguisher. He is fitted with 3 x Rear Seat belts, 2 x 3 point and one lap belt in the centre.
Monty’s Electric’s
Modern power management systems are fitted to all the vans. This provides charge to both the vehicle and leisure batteries when connected to electric hook up on site or via a split charge when driving. We have provided LED lighting throughout, to include discrete LED mood lighting. The electrical system is tested certified annually with all power leads and appliances being PAT tested.
Peace of mind
We enjoy maintaining our VW campervans and we take every care to keep them to a high standard. In the unlikely event that you experience a break down, we provide RAC breakdown cover and recovery service. Each of the campervans also carry a spares pack, which the breakdown service can use, giving you the best chance that the camper can be fixed and you can continue with your journey.
Monty’s size
Some campsites need to know the size of the campervan before they allow you to book, so that they allocate you with a suitable pitch. Monty is approximately 4.5m in length and 1.75 wide.
