The business has recently relocated to North Devon at the northern end of the Atlantic Highway it makes it a central and ideal place to start your journey to explore Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. Why not explore all the beautiful West Country has to offer whether that be the breathtaking moors of Devon, the beautiful and historic fishing coastal villages of Cornwall, the Mendip Hills in Somerset or the Jurassic Coast in Dorset?

Freebird VW Campervan hire is a small and friendly family run business with a passion for classic vehicles and camping. We take pride in maintaining them to a very high standard. With an original look from the outside, each is fitted with more modern and retro style of interior. Including items such as fridges, electric hook up, LED lighting, USB charging points and of course many safety items.
Although the campers are classic vehicles and offer a different driving experience compared to modern motor vehicles, it doesn’t take long to get to grips with the relaxed way these great Volkswagen campervans drive. With a slightly elevated position, before you know it you will be looking at the view ahead and waving to other classic campervans as they pass by on the other side.
Freedom to Explore
Unlike other larger campervan or motor homes, our classic Volkswagen Campervans are not much bigger than a family sized car. Being smaller vehicles this allows you the freedom to explore the wonderful scenery that we have around us. For instance from small fishing villages, to sandy beaches and the rugged beauty of Dartmoor and Exmoor.
We also offer a range of optional items to help you get the most out of your trip. So, if you need more space once you arrive on your campsite, we provide a range of inflatable awnings with sleeping compartments. If you would like to take your bikes so that you can enjoy many of the West Country cycle routes, we are happy to fit a bike rack to the campervans. Please see our Optional Extras for more details.
