When you hire a campervan from Freebird Campers what’s included to make your holiday a great experience. Many of our guest are pleasantly surprised what we include, so we thought we’d list the items and add in some photos.
Insurance
- Fully comprehensive self-drive hire insurance for 1 driver. (You can add one more driver on when booking as an optional extra)
- RAC break down and recovery, just in case for everyone’s peace of mind.
Kit boxes include
- 10 Litre clean and wastewater containers
- 4 x (Plates, Bowls, mugs, beakers) & 2 wine glasses
- Kettle for the gas stove
- Saucepan and frying pan
- Cutlery for 4
- Tin & Bottle opener, Scissors & Grater
- Collapsible colander, chopping board
- Washing up bowl,
- Utensils and vegetable peeler
- Pack containing a starter quantity of tea/coffee/sugar, salt and pepper
- Tea towel, small bin bags, washing up liquid and basic cleaning equipment
- Dustpan & brush
Safety
- Fire Extinguisher 1kg ABC Dry powder
- Smoke alarm & Carbon Monoxide alarm
- Basic first aid kit
Camping accessories
- Small fold away table for use outside, great for your cuppa in the morning sun or favorite tipple at teatime.
- 2 basic camping chairs to get you off the mark. If you need more, extra’s are available to book.
- 25m Electric hook up lead and tester lead, to make sure what you are plugging into is safe.
- Gas bottle (in gas locker) We provide the gas throughout your stay. In the unlikely event that it should run out whilst on your journey, we ask that you get a refill and receipt, we will then reimburse you on your return.
Vehicle Kit
- Printed copy of the operating manual for the campervan and all its equipment will be supplied for you to take with you on your journey.
- 2 Levelling chocks – just in case you get a slightly unlevel pitch, although we find most campsites have improved pitches, and most are now pretty level.
- Spares Breakdown Kit (for use by breakdown service only). We put in a selection of key parts that could be used by the roadside assistance operative to get you back on the road again.
- Warning triangle and 2 florescent jackets. to help keep you safe in the event of a breakdown.
What else is included
- Access to the Motorhome Hire Scheme from the Caravan and Camping Club. You will be supplied with a unique code when you book with us enabling you to get discounts at most of their sites.
- Parking, we have one off-road parking space available for the hirers own vehicle. There is no charge for this facility, but it is left at your own risk.
- By special agreement we can also supply bedding packs, these are normally supplied when visitors are travelling to us by train or even by bicycle. If we can help make the experience work for you, we will do what we can, you just need to ask.
- Our campervans are full of petrol when you start your journey, all we ask is that you return them to us with a full tank.
We think we have covered pretty much anything that you might need on your journey, although we are always open to suggestions. Don’t forget if there is something bespoke you require, we will always do our best to arrange it on request.
