VW Fire Safety
One piece of campervan gear we all hope to never need is a fire extinguisher.
We take our customers (and vans) safety very seriously. One of the safety measures we take is to install a fire suppression system in the engine bay.
One of the common causes of fires in the engine bay area is due to neglected fuel hoses. Over time these hoses can become cracked, perished and ultimately leak. Also with the advent of higher ethanol content in fuel this can have a detrimental affect on the engine parts. These hoses are replaced regularly and checked frequently. This eliminates most risk but the suppression system just gives that added confidence. Should a fire occur the pressurised system is automatically activated.
So you can travel through out our operating area of Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset safe in the knowledge we have do our very best to rent out campervans that are safe and reliable for you to drive. Why not explore the hidden depths of the Devon countryside or the stunning rocky coast of North cornwall in a classic VW camper. There are so many exciting places to visit in our compact campers.
