Festivals 2023 – A new year new excitement!

Festivals are fabulous fun, and most are incredibly family friendly. We have two big favourites that our VW vans are regulars at.

Camp Bestival 27th – 30th July 2023, the popular festival is held every year in the beautiful grounds of Lulworth Castle. On Dorset’s dramatic Jurassic coastline, it’s in a stunning part of the country. We guarantee it to be jam-packed with musical and cultural entertainment, stunning sideshow attractions and also lots of family fun. You’ll find it’s aimed at families with small children. Camping is all part of the fun and our classic campers fit right in. Why not hire Bob, Monty, Campo or Ruby and make them your base for the event.

Beautiful Days 18th – 20th August 2023, is almost on our doorstep at Escot Park, Fairmile between Honiton and Exeter. 2023 is their 20th festival so should be extra special. As well as several stages including a seated Theatre Tent, the festival has Site Art installations, a huge Children’s Area, Healing Village, Walkabout Theatre, family camping, real ale bars, Folk Sessions and a vast selection of carefully chosen food & craft stalls.

Just too much choice!

There are many differing festivals from Art, food, literature, automotive, to music. Below are a handful of the ones you can camp at in the Devon area. Visit their websites for more info on booking tickets and campsites.

Tunes On The Sands 21st – 22nd July 2023 – Can be found right on the beach!! a 3 day live music festival held on Blackpool Sands Beach, Stoke Fleming near Dartmouth. What’s not to like.

The Wave Length Spring Classic 1-4 June 2023. A Surf, Music and rise culture festival. Woolacombe Bay North Devon. What they say, “A totally unique venue overlooking Woolacombe Bay with coastal views as far as the eye can see”.

Chagstock 21-22nd July 2023 Near Chagford, Dartmoor, a stunningly beautiful place for a festival. Their testimonials speak for themselves
*“The most fun you can have with 5,000 people, with a great rock band, in a field in Devon, in the entire world” – The Boomtown Rats.
*“It’s definitely one of the most beautiful festivals I’ve ever played at. Set right in the heart of Dartmoor, the fact that the stage is set in the midst of the sweeping wilderness is genuinely unlike anything you’ll see at any other festivals. It’s really evocative” – Seth Lakeman. *“The Best Little Festival in The South West” – Adrian Edmondson.

Altitude Festival  27th – 29th July 2023, ‘The first Altitude took place in a neighbour’s field inn 2015, with 500 people with a lust for life, good times and a passion for original quality music. Since then, it has grown, maintaining a super-friendly vibe to the festival. Laid back by day and reeved up and ready for a party by night.
