Ode to Monty

Ode to Monty

A fabulous limerick from Monty’s travel log, written by the lovely Shuell family, last year.

Monty the van was a deep dark green,
The nicest van you have seen,
With green check curtains and comfy seats,
The most splendid van you could ever meet,
He took the family away for a while,
And gave them all the biggest smiles,
Down to Clovelly and Hartland Quay,
Then back up to the pitch where he made them tea,
An evening of games, then off to bed,
A night of wind and rain ahead,
Monty kept them all cosy and warm in the night,
But the family woke up as soon as first light,
Quick as wink Monty was tidied away,
And took the family out for the day,
Bude they went to, down by the sea,
But soon the weather made them flee,
Back to Monty all warm and dry,
Where they made a hot drink and ate some pie,
Then Monty took them back to Devon,
He was soo much fun – a taste of heaven!

Thankyou Monty Love from the Shuell Family.

We loved this Ode to Monty, and have other lovely messages left in the travel logs which are in our vans.
